How Can We Help?
Configure the terminals with self-provisioning
The VOIspeed AutoProvisioning feature allows you to automatically configure supported IP terminals, significantly speeding up the configuration process.
HOW TO CONFIGURE AN IP TERMINAL WITH THE VOISPEED SWITCHBOARD
By selecting one or more users [configuration section – users] and clicking on the button , it is possible to create configuration files for specific users and terminals. The configuration files can be loaded directly into the individual phones, which will then be ready for operation without the need to configure them manually. In addition to the configuration file, the guide to proceed on the selected terminal will be displayed.
Note: the AutoProvisioning function in the On-Premises version must be enabled in the PBX license.
Configuration files can be generated in two ways:
- Generate configuration files for the terminals of the selected users: as many single files as there are selected users will be created, one for each terminal
- Generate a single configuration file for a multi-line terminal: a file will be created for a single terminal containing as many accounts as there are selected users as long as they are supported by the phone
ATTENTION: in the case of pre-existing installations where the users have already been created and therefore the passwords have already been encrypted in the PBX DB, the provisioning cannot work because the passwords of the configuration files must be passed in clear text. In order to proceed, it is necessary to change the password of the SIP terminal in the user profile (it is also sufficient to rewrite the same password, but this could be an opportunity to create stronger passwords). The PBX will eventually warn the user with an error message if the password is encrypted.
GENERATE CONFIGURATION FILES FOR SELECTED USER TERMINALS
Selected users: list of users selected for creating the file PBX Hostname: IP address or public domain name of the PBX PBX port: SIP port used for SIP transactions (default 5060) Manufacturer: Manufacturers currently supported by the PBX11 Device: supported models for the selected manufacturer Firmware: Firmware version for the selected model |
1 for unsupported manufacturers and terminals, the generic item Other manufacturers is available with which you can obtain a file containing the generic information essential to manually configure your terminal. This option can come in handy when you have no idea what to write in the configuration fields of your unsupported terminal.
GENERATE ONE CONFIGURATION FILE FOR A MULTI-LINE TERMINAL
In this case, after selecting at least 2 users, a configuration file is generated for a single terminal which will contain the accounts of the selected users assigned to the line keys of the telephone (if available).
