The VOIspeed telephone switchboard provides its users with a graphic control and command console called UI on the UCloud platform and GUI on the On-premises platform. Thanks to it, anyone can have advanced functions and work tools in a simple and intuitive way: from the centralized address book, to chat with users, to recording the phone call to integration with Outlook or other SW.Furthermore, there are no limitations to the types of peripherals that can be associated; you can simultaneously manage IP devices, traditional analog phones, or your mobile phone and switch from one device to another in a transparent manner for the interlocutor. To associate the graphical interface with a user, you need to configure the account that will be used in the designated workstation.
UI for the UCloud platform
After installing the UI on the PC, start it by double clicking on the 32×32 24bit gui iconand insert your credentials.
Username: user for authentication in the user @ domino format (where domain is the corporate domain of the PBX)Password: password assigned to the user.
GUI for PC (On Premises platform)
After installing the GUI (Graphic User Interface), start it by double clicking on the 32×32 24bit gui icon . Access the configurations by clicking on the icon at the top left and go to the User section.
The parameters to be entered for user authentication on the VOIspeed 6 server are as follows: Username: user for authentication in the format user @ domino (where domain is the company domain of the PBX)Password: password assigned to the userInternal: telephone extension number associated with the userServer URL 1: IP_address of the main_server [: port] (default port 5063 is optional)Server URL 2: IP_address of the secondary_server [: port] (URL server 2 is optional)Auto login at startup: allows the GUI to log in automatically at startupSet the absent status at logout: by disabling the GUI, the user’s status is absent and therefore all of its terminals can no longer receive or make callsPassword change: allows the logged in user to change their GUI access password (the GUI password is independent from the one used on their terminals)
Note 1: The secondary server is contacted upon failure with the former. It is useful, for example, in case of mobility: when the user is in his office, he will use the local IP address of the server configured in the Server 1 field, while when he is out of office, he will use the public IP address of the configured server in the Server 2 field. In this way it will not be necessary to manually change the IP of the server every time the user changes work environment.Note 2: VOIspeed 6 uses a mechanism for updating user status via a SIP subscription (subscribe) to the VOIspeed server. Each GUI then performs an individual point-to-point subscription to the server to request and obtain this service. Since this mechanism does not require the sending of information via a broadcast, the IP address associated with the GUI can be on a separate subnet from that of the server, as long as there is a router in the network with a route between the two subnets.
